	Tot, where is the D Series different from the conventional BH-60 Series?
	The capacity of the main servo motor for the vertical drive in the heater has increased from 3.2KW to 5.0KW. The design was comprehensively reviewed and components have been strengthened providing less deflection in the shaft and link of the vertical drive section.
	What advantages has this brought?
	First of all, speeding up. The three-side-sealed bag making machine has now an increased operation speed from 200 bags / min to 240 bags / min. Also the speed has been increased on the three-side-sealed stand pack system from 160 bags / min to 200 bags / min. Increasing the speed in these two functions is a major advantage. Detailed design reviews resulting in a change of components have also been carried out, in order to accommodate increased bag production, with an increase in the thickness of the heater block and cooling plate to enable more efficient heating and cooling. In addition, the roller configuration has also been changed to lightweight carbon to decrease the inertia of the dancer roller.
	What are the advantages of a design review of the vertical drive?
	Increasing the strength of components has achieved a longer operation life of the machine. Also the frequency of component replacement is less in products with a long operation life. From the view of customers, it reduces cost in the long term. Products like this, with a long operation life bring a lot of advantages, especially in an improvement in productivity. This can lead to a reduction in labor for maintenance owing to high durability as well as maintaining high-speed operation for long hours.

	Exactly. The green cover has been totally changed to stainless steel (SUS). The green color was described as the theme color of Totani.
	What is the reason?
	In the event of accidentally hitting tools on the machine, the paint may come off with a conventional painted finish. Stainless steel eliminates this concern and facilitates easy cleaning. Modification of the finish meets one request about safety and hygiene from users.
	I can see less surface wiring.
	Not only wiring but also the cooling pipes are now all contained within the main frame. It is really neat and tidy. I would like other people to actually look at the old and new machine to compare it.
	Has the large box alongside the main machine gone?
	You mean the electrical box, don't you? It is also stored inside the main frame. This modification contributes to an improvement in operation as access becomes easier from the other side of the machine. High-speed serial connection, an innovative development by Totani has reduced the amount of electrical wiring. Expandability has been improved to easily increase additional servo motors, sensors and peripheral devices.
	There is another advantage in addition to a tidy box layout, isn't there?
	Integration of utility ports for electricity, air and water that were individually laid out in the conventional machine has been improved for usability operation. Another major modification is the lowered height of the frame around the vertical heater. Reliability and maintainability have also been enhanced to facilitate replacement of the seal rubber or rubber platform in the lower part of the vertical heater.
	I see. You mean, many reviews for usability have been applied, in addition to speeding up of the machine.
	Correct. The price of the machine, however, remains the same. The cost is reduced with less necessary replacement of components and maintenance, so it leads you to substantial cost reduction in the long term. This effort for cost reduction has therefore improved price performance.
